MEET THE OWNERS

Dutch owners Raymond Brunyanszki and Oscar Verest juxtaposed the exciting history of the inn with a lively atmosphere, contemporary European elegance, and odes to their home country. They’ve created an intimate oasis of luxury and perfection set in the natural beauty of New England, and invite you to join them.

Raymond Brunyanszki, Owner

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Raymond’s diverse career includes the travel, hospitality, entertainment, and marketing industries. He has been a tour leader for companies such as Boer en Wendel (TUI) and Unitravel, responsible for unique high-end trips throughout the Far East.

He served as Residence Manager for the hotel and beach club at Club Cas Abao in the Dutch Caribbean, as an independent consultant and “mystery guest” for some of the best hotels in the world, and as marketing manager at one of the largest travel companies in the Netherlands.

Raymond speaks Dutch, English, French, German and some Indonesian, and enjoys theatre, traveling, cooking and tennis.

Raymond comes from one of the most well-known entertainment families in the Netherlands, and in between jobs has assisted his stepmother Tineke Schouten, one of the best-known comediennes and celebrities in the country.

Raymond’s day-to-day responsibilities in the business include oversight, management, and direction for the Inn and Natalie’s Restaurant. He is also responsible for guest services, staffing, and inn and restaurant design.

Oscar Verest, Owner

Born in the Netherlands Antilles, Oscar has nearly two decades of business management experience in diverse sales, finance, and management positions in the Netherlands.

Prior to his involvement with the Inn, Oscar held various management, executive, and ownership positions in the vibrant pharmaceutical industry in the Netherlands.

Oscar speaks Dutch, English and German. He enjoys travel, swimming, tennis, snowboarding, and reading.

He began as a pharmacist, then moved on to partner and owner of Apotheek de Ypelaar in Breda. In 2005-2006, he helped orchestrate the sale of the company to Vier Vijzels, a subsidiary of the British Alliance Unichem.

Oscar’s day-to-day responsibilities in the business include business development, transient and group sales, staff management and finance, as well as the direction of Natalie’s Restaurant.
