Located in the beautiful Camden/Rockport region of midcoast Maine, Cellardoor Winery‘s vineyard gift shop, tasting bar, loft seating area, test kitchen and deck are part of a carefully restored 1790′s barn and overlook the vineyard and rolling hills beyond. The vineyard is on a south-facing slope of a valley and enjoys a unique microclimate, protected from Maine’s harsh winter weather. Operating on 68 acres, the Winery offers 14 wines. Visitors to Cellardoor are invited to participate in complimentary wine tastings and are welcome to walk the fields, have a picnic on the grounds or simply sit and experience the serene atmosphere.
Among the special experiences we can arrange for you are:
Winemaking Class
Have you ever wondered about the magic that turns a bunch of grapes (or a basket of fruit) into a beverage that has been savored by people for thousands of years? Come to our Introduction to Winemaking class and find the answers.
Class fee is $225 – per person. Including Juice and yeast, equipment kit to make this and future batches, two cases of your own bottled wine delivered later this season, food and wine pairing, and aroma identification demonstration.
Class Fee will be lower for those who do not want to take the kit home for future home winemaking.
Vineyards Tour and Wine Tasting
We are pleased to offer you private tours at the vineyard and barn. Stand at the tasting bar and enjoy a tasting of the Cellardoor wines as you look out over the fields, vineyard, and mountains beyond. Not bad. Not bad at all! Free of charge.
