Conway House and Mary Meeker Cramer Museum
Located on Conway Road in Camden , this 16th-century homestead is full of interesting antiques. The museum's collections include paintings, musical instruments, costumes, glass, and china. Farnsworth Art Museum and Homestead and The Wyeth Center
Examples of the best in American art of all eras, from the Colonial period through the present, are on view in the Farnsworth's seven elegantly appointed galleries. The Wyeth Center , across the street, is a prominent venue for showcasing the work of three generations of the Maine-related First Family of American Art: N.C. Wyeth, his son Andrew Wyeth, and Andrew's son, Jamie Wyeth. Adjoining the museum is one of the best preserved Victorian homes in the country, the Farnsworth Homestead. Located at 16 Museum Street , off Main Street in Rockland , the museum is open year-round. Maine Lighthouse Museum
Visit the museum and the Maine Discovery Center and see America 's most significant collection of lighthouse lenses and other artifacts, including working foghorns, flashing lights, search-and-rescue gear, Coast Guard buoys, bells, and boats. Owls Head Transportation Museum
Open 361 days a year, the museum displays one of the finest collections of antique automobiles, motorcycles and airplanes, all in operational condition. Located on Route 73, two miles south of Rockland . Call 207-594-4418 for more information.

Montpelier
On Route 131, just off Route 1 in Thomaston, you can visit a replica of the 19-room mansion built by Major General Henry Knox, George Washington's Secretary of War. Original Knox family furnishings are housed at the mansion, which is open from Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day; closed Sundays and Mondays. Call 207-354-8062.

Penobscot Marine Museum
Intriguing maritime artifacts attractively exhibited in a community that played a prominent role in seafaring and shipbuilding in the 18th and 19th centuries. Located at 5 Church Street , just off Route 1 in Searsport. Call 207-548-2529 for times to visit the museum and library.
